Some of you know Pagani as 1 of the 3 big hypercar brands along with Bugatti and Koenigsegg making multi-milion dollar cars such as the Pagani Huayra BC. But did you know that Lamborghini "created" Pagani? Here's the story. Born in 1955 Argentina, The inventor of Pagani also known as Horacio Pagani had loved cars from an early age. He loved cars so much in fact that he bult a dune buggy before he graduatd high school! Some of his other projects include designing an F2 Race car and a caravan.

A Job at Lamborghini

Pagani's expertice in cars lead him to go to Italy to get a job at Lamborghini. He was a key part in creating the Lamborghini Countach Evoluzione and other models.

Rejection

Horacio Pagani worked up the ranks at Lamborghini, soon becoming the ead of their composite materials department. Pagani belived in the potential of carbon fiber on high performance cars so he proposed that Lamborghini invest in an autoclave to expand its use of this material. Unfortunately he got rejected.

Taking Matters Into His Own Hands

Since Horacio got rejected by Lamborghini, he took matters into his own hands. He secured a loan, purchased an autoclave, and started his own company, Pagani Composite Research, in 1988. The first car that he made was the Zonda C12 and it was an absolute hit. It had a 6.0L Mercedes-Benz M120 V12 engine that made up to 444 horsepower. It ranged from $3.25 million to over $10 million

How Pagani is doing today

Today Pagani is one of the most famous Hypercar companies along with Bugatti Koenigsegg. Pagani. Pagani's latest model is the Utopia and the Utopia Roadster making up to 852 Horsepower with a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine, developed by Mercedes-AMG.
